Post the Second.

Well, it's been a few days. I really couldn't decide what to say or share so I maybe rambling is best. SSDD, you know.... Same Shit Different Day. I just got home from work. Another day of trying to teach kids English. When I first started this job I was quite nervous, as with any job, about trying to communicate with the kids. Many of them had been learning for a while and are quite sharp so they had basics like "Hello" "Good-bye" "Yes" "No" etc. So it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. As I got to know them and vice versa things became easier and harder. They felt comfortable with me and would tell me details about their day at school. Of course, they spoke in Japanese which is not really a problem as I can understand a bit. "Sensei, look at my bug bite." "Sensei, I fell down and scraped my knee, it hurt." Other times I had to feign understanding. " Sensei, blah, blah, blah......" "Oh, I see." "Uh huh." "Wow." "Cool." etc.... They know I can understand them because they understand my English replies like "Yes" or "No." Gotta run folks, until next time stay out of the ditch and keep the shiny side up.
